Hey Grizzly Artists
On Wednesday Oct. 9, Chalk Pastels Art Day will return to campus. We will be creating chalk artworks on the zig zag wall leading to the 700 Building. This year we will be doing creating our gallery in the afternoon during 5th and 6th period. We encourage all of you who enjoy creating art to join us in creating a temporary outdoor gallery at LHS. To be a part of this fun event, bring a sketch or picture of your intended chalk art to Ms. Weiher in rooms 716 and 717 by Monday, Oct. 7 for approval. Spots are limited, so get your drawing in ASAP to be able to participate. We will be creating our artworks during 5th and 6th periods on Wednesday Oct. 9.

Class of 2025 Bingo Night
The Class of 2025 is hosting a Bingo Night at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, in the Student Center. Admission is $10 for your popcorn and six bingo games. We have great items donated from the Lassen County Fair, IGA, Gaming Zone, Merry Morsals, Lassen Vet and more. Please help send our seniors off to a great senior trip by supporting them at Bingo Night.

California Scholarship Federation Applications
California Scholarship Federation applications are now available in the Counseling Office or from Mrs. Satica in Room 112. If you are a sophomore, junior or senior who earned good grades and completed 10 hours of community service, CSF is the club for you. Completed applications using last semester’s grades are due by our first meeting at lunch Wednesday, Oct. 9, in Room 112.
HOCO Lunch Time Activities
HOCO lunch time activities will include a Cornhole Tournament — sign up with Carol by tomorrow the 24th if you want to play. We have great prize donations. Bucket Pong will be at lunch Tuesday. Meet in front of the ASB room at lunch.
Homecoming Dance 2024
Get ready to dance the night away at Homecoming 2024. This year’s dance will be a night to remember, step into a world of sugar, sweets, and dancing. This year’s Homecoming Dance theme is Candyland, and it’s going to be a night full of sweet memories. 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Sept. 28, at Veteran Memorial Hall. Music by DJ Doug Cain and Shay Cain. Prizes, and snack bar with yummy treats for purchase. Tickets are on sale now. $15/single ticket or $25/couples’ ticket which can be purchased through Carol in the ASB Office, online or at the door. An ASB sticker discount will not be available for this event. Semi-formal attire, so come dressed to impress. Join us for a night filled with sweet tunes, delicious treats and magical decor straight from Candyland. Let’s make this the most sugar-coated Homecoming ever.

Homecoming is next Saturday the 28th. Need a dress? Come see Nancy and Amanda in the library to browse through some of the beautiful, gently used homecoming dresses that we have available.
