Bridges said his comment  — “That’s what happens, I guess, when you hire your friends,” referred to the long-term friendship between the former fair manager and the owner of JandJ Performing Arts and how the community group stepped up at the last minute to fill a need and help at the Hidden Woods Music Festival without the formality of a written contract.
