This year marks Safe and Sane Halloween’s 30th offering to our local kids and their families who have an opportunity to celebrate a new tradition and experience — thanks to the city of Susanville and the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce, Uptown business owners and local performing arts groups.
This year’s Safe and Sane Halloween will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. today in Uptown Susanville. Main Street in Susanville will be closed to vehicular traffic during the event.
There will be two performances by JandJ Performing Arts, music by DJ Doug Cain and the ever popular costume contest,
Local first responders and law enforcement also have been invited to attend the event.
“We’re hoping to get all our local vendors and merchants to come out and help support the kids for a Safe and Sane Halloween,” said organizer Melanie Westbrook.
