The California Highway Patrol asks for the public’s help in its investigation of yesterday’s hit and run incident in Westwood.
According to a statement from the CHP, a 16-year-old boy walking on Fir Street near Second Street was stuck by a gray four-door sedan spinning “donuts” about 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024.
As the boy walked northbound on Fir Street, an unidentified gray four door sedan driving recklessly entered the intersection, hit the boy’s leg and knocked him to the ground. The driver of the sedan sped away from the scene without providing information to the victim. The victim refused medical care and left the scene after contact was made with his parents.
The boy suffered minor injuries and complained of pain.
