Assembly Republicans join Bluesky because they’re not afraid of people who disagree with them

According to a statement from the Assembly Republicans, “Democrats can run, but they can’t hide from being called out for their out-of-touch agenda.”
Today, following the Assembly Democrats’ announcement that nearly their entire caucus will no longer use the social media platform X, Assembly Republicans have launched an account on the liberal echo chamber of Bluesky, because they aren’t afraid of interacting with people who disagree with them.
The Republican account, asmrepublicans.bsky.social, will feature the same content Republicans post on X, Facebook and Instagram, highlighting Assembly Democrats’ ongoing failure to lower the cost of living, hold criminals accountable, prevent wildfires and build or maintain our infrastructure.
“Democrats can run, but they can’t hide from being called out for their out-of-touch agenda that’s made California less safe and less affordable,” said Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher. “Republicans are willing to listen to voices from across the political spectrum and don’t need a safe space to get away from opinions we don’t like.”
