Tuesday, July 15, 2009 • Lino and Delight Callegari’s children give their parents a 50th wedding anniversary party
Two hundred friends and relatives recently helped celebrate Lino and Delight Callegari’s 50th anniversary at Monsignor Moran Hall in Susanville.

Eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren were there to help celebrate with relatives and friends.
Everyone enjoyed the tri-tip dinner along with viewing the videos and pictures of their wedding and family.
Lino was born and raised in Westwood and settled in Susanville when he returned from the military in 1955. He retired in 1986 from the Lassen County Sheriff’s Department and went to work at Lassen Community College, retiring in 2006. He has been active on the City Council since 1988.

Lino and Delight are surrounded by children Gino, Theresa, Dante and Mario.Delight Schorzman was born in Chico, moved to Idaho and returned to Susanville in 1956. She was very familiar with Susanville because her family would visit her relatives, the Stokes family. Her father, Ed Schorzman, was a mechanic at Barron Chevrolet.
After raising their four children, Delight went to work at the Lassen County Federal CU and retired Aug. 31, 2007 after 33 years.
They were married at the Catholic Cathedral in Reno, Nevada, in 1958 and established their residence in Susanville, the greatest city in which to raise their children, said the Callegaries.
