Matters set for time certain
National Forest Supervisor update

At 10 a.m., Lassen National Forest Supervisor Rick Hopson will update the board of recent NEPA decisions, the Fredonyer Trail and Hat Creek-Westwood PG&E Powerline Clearance projects and the current status of Dixie Post Fire Restoration and Recovery.

Information and consent calendar
Items on the information and consent calendar include prison trial cost reimbursement, minutes from the July 22 BOS meeting, job description of the Chief Financial Supervisor, the job description for the Health and Social Services Agency Director and miscellaneous correspondence items.

According to the staff report, the new job description for the Chief Financial Supervisor is necessary because, ‘The Lassen County Health and Social Services Agency (HSS) recruits through CalHR/MERIT Systems for our positions that are budgeted within the Community Social Services Department. We have been unable to recruit for vacant Fiscal Officer positions within HSS through CalHR/MERIT because the current county job description did not match the minimum qualifications of any of the CalHR/MERIT approved job classifications.”

According to the staff report, the new job description for the Health and Social Services Agency Director is necessary to allow for the county’s education incentive for the position.
