Maestro Ben Wade announced the upcoming second annual Barn Concert to benefit the Susanville Symphony Society’s Academy of Music.
Maestro Ben Wade.
According to Wade, “We will have our second annual Barn Concert next weekend — 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26.
“This concert will be held at the Smith Farm Weddings and Events historic barn. Last year was our first attempt at Oktoberfest, and it was a great success.
“Food and drink will be available to spruce up the atmosphere. Proceeds will go to the Academy of Music.
“Think fall! Pretzels and cheese, brats, cider, caramel corn, and of course, the Smith Bar will have beer and wine.
“Join us as we perform songs that have made American music what it is today: “Hoe Down” (from “Rodeo”), “Where Eagles Soar,” “Ecstasy of Gold” (from “The Good the Bad and the Ugly”), “Beer Barrel Polka,” and much more.”
Tickets are available at Margie’s Book Nook on Main Street in Uptown Susanville.
