CODEPINK Reno joins emergency antiwar rally calling for a permanent end to war on Iran 

In response to the recent two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, a coalition of antiwar organizations has declared a national day of action on April 8 to advocate for a permanent end to the U.S./Israel-led attacks on Iran and the withdrawal of U.S. forces from the region at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 8 at the City Plaza Believe Sign; 10 N Virginia St, Reno.

The ceasefire was announced April 7 following escalating global protests against the U.S. genocidal threats against Iranians. The details of the ceasefire are still emerging, but Trump is still suggesting he could go back to bombing if he wants. Unless sanctions are lifted and US forces return home, the conditions for war remain. Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth have needlessly killed thousands in his war of choice, caused economic suffering the world over, and he must be held accountable

Today’s action is a part of coordinated rallies in major cities across the United States, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Washington, D.C.
