Nominations sought for Forestry Research Advisory Council

The USDA Forest Service Research and Development program is seeking nominations for the Forestry Research Advisory Council. The Council provides guidance to the Secretary of Agriculture on forestry research priorities, including national and regional planning, coordination across agencies and the development and use of the nation’s forest resources.

For more information, see the Federal Register Notice.

Individuals with expertise in forestry, forest research, or related fields are encouraged to apply or nominate qualified candidates.

Nomination packages are due Thursday, April 23, 2026.
