According to a Facebook post, “We want to let our community know that our gas division crews are currently out performing routine meter maintenance throughout town.
“This work includes painting meters, clearing vegetation around meter sets and general upkeep to ensure everything remains safe and accessible. As part of this process, crews may need to briefly access areas near your gas meter, including side or back yards. All employees will be in marked City vehicles and wearing proper identification.
“We appreciate your understanding as we complete this important work to keep our system safe and reliable. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Public Works.”
