Lassen Family Services hosts second annual Senior Information Fair
It’s that time of the year again! June is Elder Abuse Awareness Month. The theme this year is Beyond Awareness: Making Elder Abuse Prevention Work. Lassen Family Services is holding its second annual Senior Information Fair to honor the seniors in our community from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, June 15 at the Senior Center, 1700 Sunkist Drive, in Susanville.
This event brings our community together to celebrate our seniors with a day filled with fun, food, prizes, information, and comradery.
According to a statement by LFS, the organization invites the community to join in making a meaningful impact on our Senior Information Fair in support of awareness for Elder Abuse Awareness Month. This event will bring together seniors, caregivers, service providers and community members to raise awareness about elder and dependent adult abuse, connect individuals to vital resources, and celebrate and empower our senior community.
