City Council announces Wednesday meeting

The Susanville City Council holds a regularly scheduled meeting at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the City Council Chambers, 66 N. Lassen St.

The meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. with a closed session conference with labor negotiators (management unit).

The public portion of the meeting begins at 5 p.m. Items on the agenda include Business from the Floor (public comment); the Consent Calendar (minutes from the Sept. 18 meeting); New Business (Resolution No. 24-6365 amending airport ground lease agreement; Resolution No. 24-6366 authorizing a contract with 323 Scada Services for gas flow monitoring equipment; Resolution No. 24-6367 authorizing the closure of S. Lassen Street from Cottage to Main streets for the Honey Lake Hospice Light Up A Life Ceremony; Resolution No. 24-6368 authorizing the closure of Main Street from Fair Drive to the Veterans Memorial Building for the Veterans Day Parade; and Resolution No. 24-6369 to authorize the use of fire crews for maintenance on city owned properties and right of ways); Continuing Business (Resolution No. 24-6370 rescinding the $100,000 funding allocated to the Susanville Elks Lodge project, allocating an additional $30,000 to the performing arts center project and authorizing the mayor to execute the sub-recipient agreement for the performing arts center project business plan); Department Reports; and Future Council Items.

The Susanville City Council’s next regularly scheduled meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16.
