City Council hears update on Memorial Park grandstand at Wednesday’s meeting
The Susanville City Council meets at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5 at the City Council Chambers, 66 N. Lassen St.
The council meets at 4:30 p.m. in closed session to discuss two items — a conference with legal counsel regarding anticipated litigation and public employment (public safety chief, city manager recruitment and an evaluation of the acting city manager).
The council returns to open session at 5 p.m.
Items on the agenda include Business from the Floor (public comment); approval of the consent calendar (minutes from the council’s July 15 meeting and vendor and payroll warrants); New Business (Resolution No. 26-6560 authorizing the lease of three copiers, Resolution No. 26-6561 authorizing the lease of a folding machine, consideration of the purchase of Hanger 39 at the Susanville Municipal Airport, and Resolution No. 26-6563 authorizing the city manager (including interim and acting city manager( to approve and execute all documents related to the city’s insurance policies); Continuing Business (a discussion regarding emergency work at Well 3, an update on the Memorial Park fire restoration, and a discussion and possible approval of the city’s committee list).
The council’s next regularly scheduled meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 19.
