The Honey Lake Valley Recreation Authority (the entity that operates the Honey Lake Valley Community Pool) holds a special meeting at 1 p.m. today at the City Council Chamber, 66 N. Lassen St.
Items on the agenda include approval of the minutes of the board’s Sept. 17 meeting, public comment and three matters for board consideration — approval of the city reimbursement request (Aug. 31 to Oct. 26) of $25,965.36; consideration of pool financials through June 30, 2024; and Resolution No. 24-59 “to notify the city of Susanville and county of Lassen of proposed changes to the Honey Lake Valley Recreation Authority Joint Powers agreement.”
The authority asks the city and the county to amend the joint powers agreement and increase the annual contributions from each governmental agency to the authority from $80,000 $120,000.
According to the staff report, “Resolution Number 24-59 to notify the City of Susanville and County of Lassen of proposed changes to the Honey Lake Valley Recreation Authority Joint Powers agreement.”
The Susanville City Council and the Lassen County Board of Supervisors need to approve the amendment for it to take effect.
