It’s FFA Week
In celebration of FFA week we will have an ag fact every day. Today’s Ag Fact is: The California pistachio industry produces 5.2 billion dollars and 47,200 jobs. Today’s FFA week dress up is Hey Dudes, Cowboy Boots or Twisted X’s.

Tomorrow’s dress up is Red, White & Blue. Today our scavenger hunt begins – forms are in Mrs. Ammon, Mr. Somerville and Ms. Telle’s’ rooms. Anyone, whether in an ag class or not, can donate 50 cents at lunch in the Student Center at our Purple Pinkie’s booth and buy a polio vaccine for a child in need in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Happy FFA Week!

2025 Rotary Youth Instrumental Music Contest
The Susanville Sunrise Rotary is sponsoring a local Instrumental Music Contest. Prize money will be awarded at each level of competition. The local contest is at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb, 27.

Junior Class of 2026
Nine more school days to get your deposit in for your Senior Trip. Deposits accepted through Feb. 28. See Sara in the Attendance office for more information.

Juniors
Would you like to run for ASB office your senior year? Make sure you have ASB on your senior class schedule and see which position would interest you.President – Run meetings and handles executive decisions. Vice President – Looks over finances and delegated jobs of the president. Secretary – Takes minutes for meetings. Director of Assemblies – Plan and host assemblies (Boy and Girl). Social Media – Runs all social media platforms.

Basketball
Good luck to our basketball teams as they go into the first round of playoffs. We start with the girls playoff game tonight.

Girls Basketball
Girls Varsity team will play Anderson tonight at home. Game time is 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $10 regular and $5 discounted. Passes are not accepted at playoff games, so bring your cash or pre-buy your tickets online. You can pre-buy your tickets at GoFan.co LASSEN HIGH SCHOOL VS ANDERSON HIGH SCHOOL-Basketball – Feb 18, 2025. Let’s pack the gym and cheer them on to a victory. Student section theme is Jersey Night.

Wrestling
Congrats to our wrestling teams. The boys wrestling team is league champions and back-to-back NSCIF Division 2 champions.

The girls wrestling team is league champions and placed second overall at the NSCIF Division 2 Championships.

Spring Tryouts
Feb. 18 through 21

JV Baseball — 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Small Gym.

Varsity Softball — 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Small Gym.

JV Softball — 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Small Gym.

Track and Field — 3:30 to 5 p.m. in Student Center/Big Gym on Tuesday.
