The Lassen Municipal Utility District welcomes Nick Dominguez, the district’s former business manager, as its new general manager.

According to the employment agreement ratified by the LMUD Board of Directors at the publicly owned utility district’s Tuesday, Nov. 19 meeting, Dominguez will take sole charge of the district upon the departure of general manager Robby Hamlin, Dec. 4.
According to the contract, which features an indefinite term, signed by Dominguez Oct. 25 and LMUD Board President Darren Hagata Oct. 29, Dominguez will earn $265,000 per year. Dominguez began sharing general manager duties with Hamlin beginning Nov. 12 or earlier, according to the agreement. The amount of his compensation shall increase 10 percent per year for the first five years and will be reviewed annually after that.
Dominguez previously served 11 years with the district (his employment ended in March 2024), and his employment will be reinstated for all purposes. He also will receive a signing bonus of 25 days of vacation pay.
In addition to the district’s recognized holidays, Dominguez will receive 40 days of paid time off each year.
