Road work on Highway 36 in the Devil’s Corral area

According to Caltrans, motorists should plan for one-way traffic control in the project area, from approximately 6.5 miles east of the Goodrich Creek Bridge to the Willard Creek Road access, with delays of up to 15 minutes began yesterday, Wednesday, June 10 — Monday through Thursday: from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Note that delays of up to 25 minutes may occur when construction operations require travel over unpaved surfaces.

This $16.7 million project is improving safety by widening shoulders, upgrading culverts, relocating utilities, adding rumble strips, and removing vegetation to improve solar exposure along the highway.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of September.

Please slow down, watch for crews and equipment.
