According to a Facebook post by Shaffer School yesterday afternoon, “As many in our community know, Shaffer Union Elementary School District recently received notice that transportation services through Lassen High School District will no longer be available moving forward.
“Because of that, we have been working hard to make sure our students and families continue to have transportation options next school year.
“Today, we are posting a ful- time bus driver position through EdJoin.
“We are also in the process of finalizing a multi-year agreement with Fall River Joint Unified School District for a bus lease, along with support for mechanics, maintenance and other transportation needs as we build our own transportation program.
“While everything is not fully finalized yet, we are confident we will have a transportation program in place for Shaffer students next year.
