The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office announces new team members on Facebook — financial manager Remi Gross, left, and operations lieutenant Wes Gray.

“This morning (Tuesday, Aug. 6), we held a swearing-in ceremony for Gray, celebrating his dedication and achievements. Gray began his law enforcement career in 2000 as a Correctional Deputy at the Lassen County Adult Detention Facility. In 2004, he demonstrated his commitment to law enforcement by putting himself through the Butte College Law Enforcement Academy, which led to a five-year stint with the Alturas Police Department. In 2010, Gray joined the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office as a patrol deputy. During his tenure, he has served in various roles including field training officer, SWAT operator, firearms instructor and agent on the Lassen County Drug Task Force. His leadership qualities were recognized in 2014 when he was promoted to sergeant and spent two years in the jail as a supervisor. Gray further distinguished himself as a sergeant in investigations and patrol with LCSO. In 2019, Gray expanded his expertise by becoming a chief DA investigator with the Lassen County District Attorney’s Office.

“Remy Gross brings a wealth of experience to our team, having worked for seven years with the Lassen County Assessor’s Office as a Property Tax Appraiser. A 2014 graduate of California State University, Stanislaus, Remy holds a bachelor’s degree in political science.

We are confident that Gray and Gross will be instrumental in supporting our mission of safeguarding the communities of Lassen County. Join us in welcoming them to the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office family.”
