With students heading back to class, here’s what every driver needs to know to keep our kids safe, according to a Facebook post by the Susanville Police Department.
Around school buses • Slow down when you see a bus — kids can dart into the road unexpectedly. • Be extra alert at railroad crossings, where buses are required to stop

Beyond the road Talk to your kids about safety and situational awareness for emergencies or severe weather this school year. A few minutes of conversation now can make all the difference.
Let’s all do our part to get every student home safely.
