Supes tackle budget approvals Tuesday morning

The Lassen County Board of Supervisors meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24 in the Board Chambers, 707 Nevada St.

The meeting begins with a closed session at 9 a.m. for two matters — a conference with labor negotiator Scott McLeran, of the Lassen County Deputy Sheriff’s Association and an employee performance evaluation of county counsel.

The public portion of the meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. Items on the agenda include an announcement of items discussed in closed session; agenda approval; public comment; unagendized reports by board members; public hearings (Fiscal Year 2024/2025 budget hearing and adoption (10 a.m.); County Service Area No. 1 Honey Lake TV Fiscal Year 2024/2025 budget hearig and adoption; and Bieber Lighting District Fiscal Year 2024/2025 budget hearing and adoption (10:15 a.m.); Matters set for time certain (consider adoption of an ordinance regarding the annual review and adoption of military equipment use policy, 10 a.m.); Board and Commissions (vacancy on the Planning and Service Area 2 Agency Advisory Council); Information/Consent Calendar (prison costs trial reimbursement; minutes of Sept. 17 meeting; miscellaneous correspondence items); County Administrative Office (approval if a side letter agreement by and between the county and the Lassen County Deputy Sheriff’s Association); Department Reports (interim appointment of Lassen County Fair manager; authorization of cybersecurity grant funding; and a memorandum of understanding between Public Risk Innovation, Solutions, and Management and participating members of the Dental Program and Ameritas application); and information for the board of supervisors.
