6th Grade Day on the Bizz returns

The Lassen County Office of Education is excited to host the annual 6th Grade Day on the Bizz Johnson Trail on May 21, 2026.

This engaging outdoor learning experience invites all Lassen County 6th grade students to explore the natural beauty and history of the Bizz Johnson Trail while participating in hands-on activities.

Students will rotate through a variety of interactive sessions, including a trail presentation, nature walk, wildlife presentation, invasive plant hunt and the popular Hobo Camp Hunger Games.

The event is designed to connect students with the outdoors while building knowledge about local ecosystems, history, and environmental stewardship.

Activities will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:05 p.m., followed by lunch from 12:05 to 12:30 p.m.

Students are asked to bring a sack lunch and wear closed-toe shoes along with appropriate outdoor attire.

This memorable day offers students the opportunity to learn, explore, and engage with their environment in a fun and meaningful way.
