After extensive fundraising, the Susanville Fire Cadets are officially on their way to the California Cadet Academy, according to a Facebook post.
At the academy, the cadets will be trained in fire science, law enforcement, and first aid procedures.
The cadets will experience what firefighters, law enforcement, and EMT/paramedics do on a regular work day. While the cadets’ limits will be tested, they will learn about hard work, dedication and discipline. They are the future of public safety.
