Assembly Republican Caucus unites behind Leader Alexandra Macedo with a singular focus: California’s affordability crisis

Yesterday, the Assembly Republican Caucus announced that Assemblywoman Alexandra M. Macedo has been elected as the new Assembly Minority Leader.

Incoming Assembly Minority Leader Macedo and the Assembly Republican Caucus are laser-focused on a shared priority: protecting California families and small businesses from the relentless affordability crisis gripping our state.

From sky-high gas prices to soaring utility rates and rising taxes, everyday Californians are facing unsustainable economic pressures.

“I am deeply honored by the trust my colleagues have placed in me, and I am proud to stand alongside a unified caucus dedicated to real, common-sense solutions,” said Macedo. “Our message is clear: California is becoming unaffordable for working families, and our caucus is united in the fight to bring down the cost of living, make our communities safer and hold state bureaucrats accountable.”
