Board of Supervisors Roundup — Feb. 10

Here’s a roundup of actions taken by the Lassen County Board of Supervisors at it Tuesday, Feb, 10 meeting.

Closed session
The board met in closed session for a conference with legal counsel regarding significant exposure to litigation (if needed); a conference with labor negotiator Andrew Plett regarding the Lassen County Peace Officers Association and the United Public Employees of California; and an evaluation of County Administrative Officer and consideration of liability claim filed by Justin Leuty. The board continued its closed session after the conclusion of the public portion of the meeting.

Boards and Commissions
Fish and Game Commission
The board unanimously appointed Robert McGarva to the vacant District 1 position on the Lassen County Fish and Game Commission.

Information and Consent Calendar
Board members pulled several items for separate discussion, but in the end unanimously approved the Information and Consent Calendar. Items included a $500 discretionary fund contribution from Supervisor Aaron Albaugh for the Susanville Indian Rancheria Powwow; a $500 discretionary fund contribution from Supervisor Gary Bridges for the Susanville Indian Rancheria Powwow; minutes from the board’s Jan. 27 meeting; a $292,640.39 purchase of seven replacement vehicles for the county; a notice of completion for the Janesville Grade Guard Railing Replacement Project; the expenditure not to exceed $4,500 for an employee to attend Jiffy’s Truck School to obtain a commercial driver’s license; the $194,429.50 purchase of a service truck for the road division; and miscellaneous correspondence items.

Probation Department
The board unanimously approved a Memorandum of Understanding between Lassen and Shasta counties regarding juveniles held in Juvenile Hall.

Fair
The board unanimously approved the job description for a new employee — the Fair Facilities Supervisor.

Health and Social Services
The board approved a contract between the county and Kings View Professional Services to provide Electronic Health Record System support services.

The board unanimously approved an amendment to a contract between the county and Kings View Professional Services for Substance Use Disorder Cost Reporting Services and Mental Health Services Act Annual Revenue and Expenditure Report services.

The board unanimously approved an amendment to a contract between the county and the Partnership Healthplan of California for Enhanced Care Management Provider Services.

County Administrative Office
The board unanimously approved a Memorandum of Understanding between the county and the Lassen County Peace Officers Association.
