Bug Fire erupts near Ag Station on Highway 395

According to WatchDuty.org, resources responded to a reported vegetation fire about 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8.

By 3:36 p.m. the fire had consumed 10 to 20 acres and was burning to the east.

At 3:55 p.m. an Evacuation Warning was issued for Zone: Las-671-B. The fire had grown to 50 acres.

At 4:01 p.m. both Sierra and Washoe counties have now been included in this incident due to the fire’s close proximity to the county/state lines. Users in those counties will now receive notifications for this incident.

At 4:14 p.m. an Evacuation Order was issued for Zone: LAS-671-B and an Evacuation Warning has been issued for Zone: LAS-671-A.

At 4:17 p.m. a Sierra County Evacuation Warning was issued for Zone: SIE-E025.
