What better way to celebrate the arrival of spring than with a seafood bonanza? Your local hometown store, Susanville Supermarket/IGA, is having their seafood truckload sale next Monday and Tuesday, March 19 and 20. They have a large selection with great prices.

Lassen Humane Society will be holding its 10th annual corned beef & cabbage dinner and silent auction on March 15 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Senior Center on Sunkist Drive in Susanville.

Lumberjacks Restaurant will also be serving a traditional Rueben sandwich for those of you wanting a hearty favorite. You’ll get extra savings if you use their coupon in this week’s paper.

Diamond Mountain Casino and Hotel has lots of fun going on this week in honor of their 22nd anniversary celebration.

On March 15, you can enjoy a traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner with all the fixings. On March 17, they’ll be holding floor-wide mystery jackpots and you could win up to $500 every two hours.

The Lassen College Rodeo and Banquet dinner will be held on Friday, March 30, directly after the event. This is an update to the previously reported event happening on March 31. Admission to the rodeo is free and it starts at 4 p.m. on March 30 and 31.

April 1, Mark Yerington and his son, Dan, will be celebrating 20 years as the owners of Kurt’s Works in Susanville.
