Caltrans to perform roadway repairs on Interstate 5 in Tehama County

Caltrans District 2, with Tullis, Inc., will begin roadway repair work on Interstate 5 in Tehama County starting Wednesday, April 1, to address pavement damage caused by above-average precipitation in early 2025.

Crews will repair sections of roadway experiencing cracking, rocking slabs, potholes and surface erosion in order to restore roadway integrity and ensure safe travel for the public.

Motorists should expect the following traffic impacts
Wednesday, April 1

From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., the No. 2 lane of northbound Interstate 5 will be closed just north of South Avenue.

Thursday, April 2
From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., the No. 2 lane of southbound Interstate 5 will be closed just north of Flores Avenue.

All work is weather dependent and may be postponed.
