According to a Facebook post by the California Highway Patrol, “In 2025, we lost four members of our community due to DUI crashes. They were someone’s mother, father, son, aunt, uncle, friend, and their loss is felt every day.
“We are committed to saving lives and taking impaired drivers off the road. And 2026 has started out with a devastating number of DUI arrests.
“We beg you! Plan on drinking? Plan ahead! Know how you are getting home before you even start drinking. Don’t wait to make the decision when you’re already impaired and don’t have good judgement.”
