City Council considers pool funding resolution at Wednesday’s meeting

The Susanville City Council holds a regularly scheduled meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 4 at the City Council Chambers, 66 N. Lassen St.

There is no closed session at this meeting, but the council will hold a special closed session meeting at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 4 for an evaluation of the city manager and a conference with labor negotiators for the Fire Unit; the Miscellaneous Unit; the Public Works Unit; the Susanville Police Officers Association Unit; and the Department Heads (city clerk, economic development director, finance director, public safety chief and the public works director).

Items on the agenda for the 5 p.m. meeting include Business from the Floor (public comment); the Consent Calendar (Minutes from the council’s May 21 special and regular meetings and the May 28 special meeting; vendor and payroll warrants and Resolution No, 25-6439 approving a modification to the Position Classification Schedule with the Administrative Bargaining Unit); Public Hearings (Resolution No. 25-6436 approving a lien on property at 6 Monrovia St.); New Business (a study session reviewing a draft of the city’s 2024-2029 Housing Element Update; consideration of Resolution No. 25-6434 authorizing $3,100 budget amendment for the Public Works Department’s Supervisorial Contra and Data Acquisition system; Resolution No. 24-6435 authorizing a contact with ESO Solutions, Inc. for reporting software for the Susanville Fire Department; and consideration of Resolution No. 25-6438 terminating an Airport Ground Lease and approving another lease); Continuing Business (consideration of Resolution No. 25-1048 amending the Susanville City Code to allow the city council to act as the Susanville Planning Commission; and consideration of Resolution No. 25-6440 authorizing the expenditure of up to $24,000 from the general fund to extend the Honey Lake Valley Community Pool’s fall season to accommodate the Lassen High School swim team); department reports; and future council items.
