City Council hosts special meeting at 2 p.m. and a regular meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday

The Susanville City Councils holds a special meeting at 2 p.m. and a regular meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 4 at the City Council Chambers, 66 N. Lassen St.

Special meeting
The council will conduct closed session interviews for the Public Safety Chief position at 2 p.m.

The council reconvenes for its regular meeting at 5 p.m.

Items on the agenda include a report of any action taken in closed session, awards or presentations by the city council, Business from the Floor (public comment) and the Consent Calendar (minutes from the Feb. 18 meeting, vendor and payroll warrants and a monthly finance report July 2025 through January 2026).

New business
Items under New Business include consideration of Resolution No. 26-6513, regarding an amendment to  professional services agreement for planning consultation services with M-Group Consultants; consideration of councilmember’s request to use civic contribution funds from their remaining discretionary allocation of $1,000; and consideration of Resolution No. 26-6514 regarding an out-of-area services agreement with LAFCo to provide city water and natural gas utilities to 697=805 Prattville Road.

Continuing business
A discussion regarding the ongoing fire emergency operations at the Memorial Park Grandstand.

City Manager Reports
The finance department will present a report.

The Susanville City Council’s next regularly scheduled meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 18.
