The Susanville City Council holds a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24 to consider a report and recommendations from the city’s Cannabis Ad Hoc Committee.
According to the staff report, “The City of Susanville appointed a Cannabis Activity Ad Hoc Committee on June 2, 2021 to study the legal cannabis industry and make recommendations to the City Council. The Ad Hoc Committee has met several times, went on a field trip to various cannabis operations, held a public workshop and prepared a written report including findings and recommendations. The report will be presented at the meeting, staff will be asking for direction regarding how to proceed with next steps.”
The item is listed as a discussion item, so while the council will not vote on the matter at this meeting, it could give direction to staff.
The public may attend the special meeting and offer comments, but those comments are limited to 5 minutes each.
The council’s next meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 2.
