Drainage improvement project underway on Highway 32

The California Department of Transportation and Lamassu Utility Group, Inc. recently started work on the Potato Patch Springs Project on Highway 32 in Tehama County. The $508k project is replacing one culvert (via cut and cover method) and installing three new culverts and drainage inlets on Highway 32 between the Butte/Tehama County line and the junction with Highway 36.

Construction activities began Aug.25. Motorists will encounter one-way traffic control with up to 10-minute delays, Mondays through Fridays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. Motorists are urged to slow down and drive carefully in and around construction areas, follow speed limit reductions in place, and allot extra time for delays. The project is currently anticipated to be completed by the end of September.
