According to a Facebook post from the Susanville Fire Department, about 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, the SFD responded to a residential structure fire located on the 300 block of Park Street.
Truck 1 arrived on the scene to find a fully involved structure with exposures threatened. Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines and began an aggressive fire attack, successfully containing the fire to the building of origin.
Following the fire, an investigation was conducted which determined that the fire was accidental and found to be electrical in nature.
No firefighter or civilian injuries were reported on this incident.
The SFD was supported by the Susanville Police Department, Susanville Public Works, Cal-Fire, OES and Susan River Fire.
