The Lassen Fire Safe Council holds its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16 at the Susan River Fire Protection Office, 705-145 Highway 395 in Johnstonville.
Items on the agenda include the Managing Director’s Report (Active Projects: CalFire Grants — Hog and Sheep Fire Forest Restoration, Shingletown WUI Fuels Treatment, Whitmore Forest and Watershed Restoration, Clear Creek and Hog Flat Fuel Treatment and RFFCP Hazard Assessment; SNC Grants: Bootsole, East Side Communities and Diamond Mountain; Other: Honey Lake Valley RCA-SPA, California Fire Safe Council-County Coordinator, USFS Cradle Valley/Bootsole Dixe Fire Salvage and Defensible Space Assistance Grant); New Planned/Awarded Projects: South Lassen Wildfire Recovery Project, North Susanville WUI Fuels Treatments, and LFSC LNF Dixie Fire Hazard Tree; Agency Updates: NRCS, SIR, BLM, CalFire, SNC, USFS, Lassen County OES, SPI, Honey Lake Power, Lassen County, Honey Lake Valley RCD, Red Cross and Firewise Community Leaders.
