The Grizzlies managed a response as Tavin Fowler, who leads the Grizzlies’ rushing game, brought the solo touchdown for Lassen, with a successful PAT that followed tying the game 7-7 all the way to the half.
The Grizzlies attempted to play a strong passing game, capitalizing on quarterback Brock Wolf’s throwing capability, but the Eagles had strong pass coverage.
The Grizzlies’ Aaron Ogburn helped re-take possession with two interceptions, the second landing in the early part of the third quarter, but the Eagles kept the pressure and the score at a 7-7 stalemate.

The game looked to end with a tie, but the Eagles managed late in the final quarter to get past the Grizzlies’ defense for their second touchdown bringing the game to 13-7 at the end.
The Grizzlies definitely went in knowing that West Valley would be a challenge as both teams were undefeated in league so far this season, and West Valley held a 9-0 record overall before facing the Grizzlies.
Despite the loss, the Grizzlies can come back stronger learning from their mistakes against West Valley. The Grizzlies played the Shasta Wolves in an out of league game Friday, Nov. 8.
