Hadwick says ‘victory for our communities and wildlife management’

The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office shared a post by Assemblymember Heather Hadwick on its Facebook page.

According to the Facebook post, “We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to write letters, call in and attend the California Fish and Game Commission meeting regarding the proposed reclassification of coyotes and the potential for a hunting season and bag limit.

“More than 500 people showed up or called in to make their voices heard — including the sheriffs from District 1 who drove up to six hours to attend and powerfully advocate for their communities.

“Team Hadwick submitted a bipartisan letter to the commission opposing the changes, signed by both Democratic and Republican legislators,

“Thanks to your efforts, the commission has decided not to move forward with any changes. This is a testament to what we can achieve when we stand together. We are truly grateful for each and every one of you who spoke up.”
