Congressman Doug LaMalfa released the following statement celebrating the inclusion of $134 million for Sites Reservoir in the recently passed Continuing Resolution.
“This funding boost of $134 million for Sites Reservoir through the WIIN Act of 2016, on top of the $200 million approved earlier this year, brings us even closer to making this important project a reality,” LaMalfa said. “While we wait for California to finalize the permits, this federal funding ensures that Sites Reservoir continues moving forward. We cannot afford to let water flow out to sea unused, especially when droughts are inevitable. Sites Reservoir is the solution, and this funding marks another critical step in securing a more reliable water supply for California.”
