Hey, Grizzly Artists
On Wednesday October 9, Chalk Pastels Art Day will return to campus! We will be creating chalk artworks on the zig zag wall leading to the 700 building. This year we will be doing creating our gallery in the afternoon during 5th and 6th period. We encourage all of you who enjoy creating art to join us in creating a temporary outdoor gallery at LHS. To be a part of this fun event, bring a sketch or picture of your intended chalk art to Ms. Weiher in rooms 716 and 717 by Monday, Oct. 7 for approval. Spots are limited, so get your drawing in ASAP to be able to participate. We will be creating our artworks during 5th and 6th periods Wednesday, Oct. 9.
Bingo tonight
The Class of 2025 is hosts bingo tonight, at 5 p.m. in the Student Center. Admission is $10 for your popcorn and six bingo games. We have great items donated from The Lassen County Fair, IGA, Gaming Zone, Merry Morsals, Lassen Vet and more. Help send our seniors off to a great senior trip by supporting them at the Bingo Night.
California Scholarship Federation Applications
California Scholarship Federation applications are now available in the Counseling Office or from Mrs. Satica in Room 112. If you are a sophomore, junior or senior who earned good grades and completed 10 hours of community service, CSF is the club for you. Completed applications using last semester’s grades are due by our first meeting — Wednesday, Oct. 9 in Room 112 at lunch.
Cornhole Tournament/Bucket Pong
HOCO lunch time activities will include a Cornhole Tournament. Sign up with Carol by tomorrow Sept. 24 if you want to play, we have great prize donations. Bucket Pong will be on Tuesday meet in front of the ASB room at lunch.
Homecoming Dance 2024
Get ready to dance the night away at Homecoming 2024. This year’s dance will be a night to remember, step into a world of sugar, sweets, and dancing. This year’s Homecoming Dance theme is Candyland, and it’s going to be a night full of sweet memories — 8 p.m. to midnight, Saturday, Sept. 28, Veterans Memorial Hall. Music by DJ Doug Cain and Shay Cain, prizes, and snack bar with yummy treats for purchase.
Revised Homecoming Ticket Prices
Please revise the homecoming dance ticket prices in the bulletin to be $25 per couple, $24 with ASB sticker. $15 per single, $14 with ASB sticker. Tickets at the door are $15 and $25. Semi-formal attire, so come dressed to impress. Join us for a night filled with sweet tunes, delicious treats, and magical decor straight from Candyland. Let’s make this the most sugar-coated Homecoming ever.

Homecoming is next Saturday Sept. 28. Need a dress? Come see Nancy and Amanda in the library to browse through some of the beautiful, gently used homecoming dresses that we have available.

Boys Basketball Open Gyms
Boys basketball open gyms will be held from 6:45 to 8 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays Oct, 7 through Oct. 25.
LHS Swim Meet
Lassen High swim team hosts its only home meet on at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25. Go out and support our Grizzlies. The student section theme is “Pool Party”
Girls Basketball Open Gyms
Girls basketball open gyms will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Oct. 2, 8, 10, 15, 22 and 29.
