It’s FFA Week
In celebration of FFA week, today’s ag fact is: California used to be known as the “Orange Empire” because of how many oranges were both produced and consumed. Today’s FFA week dress-up day is Red, White and Blue. Tomorrow’s dress-up day is Camouflage. Today at lunch anyone can come in and write a letter to a military member from Susanville to be sent in care packages next month through Blue Star Moms. Anyone, whether in an ag class or not, can donate 50 cents at lunch in the student center at our Purple Pinkie’s booth and buy a polio vaccine for a child in need in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Happy FFA Week!

All Incoming Freshman
Our Freshman Gala will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20 in the Student Center.

Seniors
If you are planning to attend Lassen Community College for the 2025/2026 school year, go to the counseling office to sign up to talk with a representative.

SAT Test
The last day to sign up for the March 8 SAT test is this Friday, Feb. 21. Visit CollegeBoard.org to sign up or see Mr. Freeman or Ms. Dollar for details. The next SAT test at Lassen High will be October 2025.

Junior Class of 2026
Eight more school days to get your deposit in for your Senior Trip! Deposits accepted through Feb. 28. See Sara in the Attendance Office for more information. Boys Basketball
Boys varsity basketball will travel to Paradise High School. Game time is 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $10 regular and $5 discounted. Passes are not accepted at playoff games, so bring your cash or pre-buy your tickets online. Lassen Girls Soccer
Lassen Girls Soccer team head into playoffs this Thursday vs Live Oak after securing 3rd place in league. Contributors this season with goals and assists are Cori Nystrom leading the team with five goals in the season and two assists; Addy Dollar had four goals and two assists; Yulisa Andjugo contributed three goals and three assists; Izzie Rodriguez made three goals and three assists; Cali Clavel with two goals; Adaliz Santana scored one goal as a defender; Makena Crosno delivered with one goal; Goalie, and Allison McGarva had a total of 65 saves in the season.

Big help on defense shutting down the opposition were centerbacks Lydia Camp, Emily Barker and midfielder, Marie Giles.

Lassen Boys Soccer
Lassen Boys Soccer is also heading into playoffs this Thursday vs U-PREP. Congratulations to both teams and good luck on Thursday.

Spring Tryouts

Varsity Baseball — 6 p.m. in the Big Gym tonight and tomorrow.

Feb.  18 through 21
JV Baseball — 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Small Gym.
Varsity Softball — 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Small Gym.
JV Softball — 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Small Gym.
Track and Field — 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the Student Center.
