LMUD considers budget approval at Tuesday evening meeting

The Lassen Municipal Utility District Board of Directors meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 23 at the district office, 65 S. Roop St. where the board will consider approval of the 2026/2027 fiscal year budget.

Other items on the agenda include approval of the minutes from the May 29 Special Board Meeting and approval of the minutes from the June 3 Special Board meeting/Budget Workshop; the Financial Report, a report from the general manager, and a report from the electric operations manager.

Action items
Action items on the agenda include consideration of Resolution No. 2026-04 (an update of LMUD’s Conflict of Interest Code); consideration of Resolution No. 2026-05 (appointment of a UAMPS member representative); an annual salary update for non-union employees; and consideration of the 2026/2027 Fiscal Year Budget.

Closed session
The board will confer with legal counsel of five items in closed session — existing litigation (LMUD v. Williams Butler, et al; existing litigation William R. Butler and Peggy L. Butler v. Lassen Municipal Utility District, et al; existing litigation William and Peggy Butler v. Lassen Municipal Utility District (Eastern District of California case); potential litigation (three cases); and anticipated litigation (two cases).
