Vote because your future is shaped by the people who make decisions today. A single vote may seem small, but together, voices create change — in schools, jobs, healthcare, safety and rights. If you don’t choose your leaders, someone else will choose them for you. If you like the way things are, vote. If you don’t like the way things are, vote. Your vote is your voice. Use it.
In our last election I was appalled how many registered voters did not show up to exercise their right. I hear way too often that “my vote doesn’t matter anyway.” It does matter, and if that kind of thought process continues, we may someday lose the freedom to vote.
Please, I beg you, exercise your rights and get out and vote. Let’s make a difference.
