It is with great sadness that we announce jour believe Madeline French, 82, of Susanville, California, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home surrounded by loved ones Sunday, Oct 13, 2024.
Madeline is preceded in death by her parents, John and Delores Kauffman; her late husband, Thomas French, Jr.; and three siblings.
She is survived by her brother, Bill Kauffman, of Susanville; her four children, Lisa Miller, of Susanville, Kelly (Ryan) Reed, of Janesville, California; Stacy Huff, of Helena, Montana; Thomas French, III, of Elko, Nevada; 10 grandchildren, Jenny (Sean) Calendar, of Citrus Heights, California, Tyler (Brittney) Sturdivan, of Janesville, Wendy and Katie Miller; Alicia (Howie) Heard, of Janesville; Brad (Courtney) Huff, of Susanville; Danny (Stephani) Huff, Jr., of Helena; Gracie, Mike and Teagan French of Wells, Nevada; 10 great-grandchildren, Justin, Brayden, Quinton, Nathan and Heather Calendar; Sean Strudivan, and Nautia Nobles, of Susanville; Madison Miller, Danny Huff III; and Matt Huff; and her companion of many years, Bob Carpenter, of Susanville.
A private Celebration of Life will be held by the family.
