McGuire outraises field, enters on-year with nearly $400k on-hand

Federal Election Commission reports in California’s newly-redrawn First Congressional District show State Senator Mike McGuire has established a dominant fundraising advantage over the rest of the field.

In the 50 days between his campaign announcement and the end of Q4, McGuire raised more than $450k from more than 5,000 donations – more than the rest of his District 1 opponents combined.

He entered the new year with more than $392k in the bank – nearly triple that of his primary opponents combined.

McGuire has also built an unprecedented grassroots operation, hauling in more than $107k from donations under $200 – the most of anyone in the race by far.

McGuire received contributions from every county in District 1, with 94 percent of contributions $100 or under.

Since launching, McGuire earned the support of some of California’s most influential organizations and elected leaders, including 28 local, statewide and national unions, Governor Gavin Newsom, Senator Adam Schiff, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, Congressman Mike Thompson, Congressman Jared Huffman, every Democratic County Supervisor in District 1, and dozens of current and former local elected officials.
