Parting is such sweet sorrow
The Susanville City Council said goodbye to City Manager Dan Newton and City Councilmember Russ Brown at a special meeting Friday, June 26 at the City Council Chambers.

Councilmembers Patrick Parrish and Curtis Bortle were absent.

Schuster read a proclamation recognizing Brown’s “remarkable legacy” of nearly 40 years of service to the city.

“It’s a big transition for myself and my family,” Newton said. “I’m looking forward to see what the city has in its future, and I’ll be a part of it in any way I can.”
