Pet Treats for Lights invites customers to donate items for Lassen Humane Society

This year, the Lassen Municipal Utility District is happy to partner with the Lassen Humane Society.

According to an LMUD Facebook post, “We are collecting items to support our local animal shelter during Pet Treats for Lights.

“Help us help animals in need this year by donating new, unwrapped dog and cat toys, dry or wet cat and dog food, pet dishes, durable chew toys, leashes, collars, and anything dog or cat-related. Items that we can’t take include rawhide chews, blankets, toys, or beds with stuffing and heated blankets.

“Pet Treats for Lights begins Monday, Dec. 2, and continues until our supply of LED lights is exhausted. If you are feeling especially generous, you can bring in pet supplies through the end of the year.

“The first 200 customers who bring their pets into the LMUD office to help drop off their goodies will receive a custom LMUD pet bandana. If your pet is shy, just drop by with a photo of your furry friend, and we’ll be happy to give you a bandana.

“LMUD’s office is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 65 South Roop Street in Susanville.”
