Pacific Gas and Electric Company started work this week to install about 5 miles of underground power lines along China Grade Road from Taylorsville to Mount Hough.
While work is underway, China Grade Road will be closed to the public for about a month. This is a rural dirt road with no residences. Mount Hough can also be accessed from Quincy.
The undergrounded power lines will serve radio communication towers. The project was possible thanks to coordinated efforts between PG&E, Plumas County and the Plumas National Forest.
