Phone system down until 3 p.m.

According to a Facebook post by the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, an accident on Highway 36 last night caused the local 911 system to go down.

Emergency calls are being rerouted through the Plumas County Dispatch Center.

Call (530) 251-5245 for nonemergency calls. Calls may be delayed due to the rerouting process, please be patient.

The phone system is expected to be repaired by 3 p.m. today.

Some residents and businesses in Susanville report disruptions to the phone and internet service.
