The 2026 Summer Reading Challenge is here, according to the Lassen County Office of Education.
Adventure awaits this summer. Kids can pick up a free book at one of several locations throughout Lassen County and enjoy reading all summer long. Once you’ve finished a book, come back and grab another. This year’s selection includes exciting adventures, mysteries, memoirs, and more. There’s something for every reader.
Pick up your free books at participating locations throughout Lassen County, including Lassen Family Services, Public Health, Highway to Gaming Zone, Buffalo Chips, Janesville Pizza Factory, Premier Mortgage Resources and the Lassen County Office of Education.
